A Brief History
Mr Webb, the founder of Webb Industries, started the company with a bakkie and a wheelbarrow on 1 November 1972. Webb was established in 1973 and, until 1976, provided communications towers and structures. In 1985 we merged with Jasco International.
In 1994 a high-site division was established that offered leases on its telecom towers to multiple operators. It coincided with the emergence of the African cellular market and the establishment of South African network operators.
The telecoms and data market grew exponentially, and subsequently, Webb established other operating divisions. In 2008, we acquired Radio Comms Warehouse (RCW).
We remain the leading and largest supplier in our field in Sub-Saharan Africa.
