Patch cords, those handy short cables with connectors on each end, allow for easy connections within a data centre or any networking setup. They make swift changes, additions, or repairs to the network configurations effortless. Conversely, when needing to bridge equipment over greater distances or when seeking more flexibility in routing connections, we use fly leads, the longer cables.
